Freedoms is like that ... you feel like you can't do without it, until you realize it's actually air, water and food you can't do without. Actually, there's a whole lot of things in life we think are absolutely indispensable, until the moment the vast cosmick gulf of infinity starts jamming it's frigid fingers down into our lungs and reminding us that time and air are running out, like sand off the sand-falls of Alpha Orionis e.
